See: Major girl crushing on Annie Clark is going to be happening this Saturday at the Fox Theatre as St. Vincent is set to perform.

Do: Vintage Fashion Expo is always fun to check out, even if you’re just ‘window’ shopping, but it’s doubtful you’ll walk away empty handed.

Shipley & Halmos Canal Street Pop-Up Shop

It was not that long ago the Shipley & Halmos boys were over at my house, telling me about this pop-up concept they had in the works. Their temporary store is set among the best designer knockoff and tourist-y merchandise vendors on Canal St., shady landlord included. Among the racks are Spring ’14 menswear essentials and a clever assortment of very S&H souvenirs. I personally need to get my hands on the “I Went to Canal Street & All I Got Was Mugged” mug. The store opened up just in time for New York Fashion Week and will be open through February 23rd. Get your shop on!

The Shipley & Halmos Pop Up Shop is located at 385 Canal Street in NYC.

Jackson Hole, WY

Things to do in Jackson Hole Wyoming (1)

When flying into Jackson Hole, you’re immediately greeted by the Grand Tetons as soon as you step off the plane. Breathing in the fresh, cold mountain air, I knew it was going to be a good trip and the perfect place to ring in the new year.

I started the first day with a delish breakfast at Pearl Street Bagels.

Then tramsped around town and did a little shopping, which included a stop at the Pendleton store.

Not too long after that bagel, I was hungry again (what’s new?) so I made a stop at Persephone Bakery for something warm and filling. This bakery is cozy and so cute, serving Intelligentsia coffee and the best baked goods. I came back almost every day while in Jackson.

More exploring around the town square and of course I had to pop into a few home shops, including Twenty Two Home.

One of the days, I took a winter sleigh ride at the National Elk Refuge. I could almost touch these beautiful creatures.

There was lots of touristing, relaxing and reading that went on, and the best way to end the trip was at Solitude Spa. I literally spent an entire day there which ended with a soak in the rooftop hot tub.

Jackson Hole was the perfect setting to wind down, reflect on 2013 and reset for this upcoming year.

Footstools for Auction

Handmade Footstools Ottomans Custom Etsy Prints Patterns

These footstools were shipped down to LA for my nephew’s annual school auction. Instead of donating a chair this year, I donated two sets of footstools since they were such a hit at last year’s auction. You can also purchase them in le shop. I’m slightly obsessed with the peacock geometric pattern. It might be making another appearance as my living room bench, but maybe with a red tassel fringe trim?

Ikea 2014 Catalogue Faves

Ikea 2014 Catalogue New Products Top Picks

I snuggled up in bed last night with the new Ikea catalogue and I must say they are stepping up their game year after year. It’s true, I don’t love to design with everything Ikea, but mixing high and low furniture is not a bad way to go when you’re on a budget. Of course, I love the green sofa, but the lemon yellow swivel lounge chair is a surprise standout. It comes in a few other colors and is similar to a higher end piece I’ve used for projects. Did I say it swivels?! Swivel chairs are my favorite kind of chairs.
