Busy Bee Weekend

How was everyone’s weekend?? I know we’re all a little sad it’s over, but only a few more days until the next! Did anyone get a chance to catch Emily Henderson’s premiere of Secrets From a Stylist? It was a bit of a busy weekend for me, so it’s still saved on my Tivo, but I did get a chance to meet Ms. Emily at her premier party Saturday night and I’m pretty sure she was having a great time. So excited for her and her show!

On the family front, my newphew turned 6! My how time flies. It was a crazy sunday morning filled with about 30 kids running around, building robots and eating super delish Frosted cupcakes. I had fun documenting the interesting ways the little monsters decided to eat their cupcakes.

And how ’bout them Oscars?! Can I say HORRIBLE?!?! There were a few highlights, but I just didn’t really get the “trying to reach a younger demographic” and the 20 nominations for Best Picture. James Franco was a bit of dud and Anne Hathaway wasn’t sooo bad, but definitely could’ve used a better co-host. At least she looked purty in all her gown changes.

Baby Shower: Mood Board

I put together my inspiration board for this weekend’s baby shower and I think it’s going to turn out uh-dorable. It has a sophisticated flair with just the right amount of whimsy. Time to go shoppin’!

Here Comes Baby

No sir, not mine! But somebody’s baby is-a-comin’ soon. Here’s the invite and inspiration (with made up info to deter all you baby shower crashers). Hmmmm…where to begin?!? Keep ya posted on all the party decor deets.

I’ve been on a camping kick lately and I think I’ve found my niche in the camping world…glamping (glam camping)! I have no qualms about admitting that I am not a super rough-and-tough-it kinda girl, but I make an effort to get down and dirty…sometimes. Hey, it’s not like I need to bring my curling iron on our camping trips!

The BF and I talk about buying an Airstream one day (of course it will be super designed out) and truckin’ it all over the States. These pics are just how I image it will be 🙂

Oceanside Wedding

I spent the weekend down in San Diego for a wedding and I have to say it was a total blast. The lovely couple held their ceremony on the beach and the reception was just a few steps away. The weather was a little June gloom and a bit chilly, but the bride, groom, and decor were all very beautiful and I’m so glad I didn’t have to use the shawl that I dug out of my Goodwill bag in the trunk of my car (it didn’t really match my dress). The reception was strung with lights and when dusk set the whole place lit up and the dance party began (and I love me a wedding dance party). I’m so glad I was able to be a part of the couple’s special day <3

Cha Cha Chella!!!

I’m off for a much needed long weekend and some fun in the sun. I can’t believe it’s already Coachella time again, but I’m welcoming this weekend with open arms. Of course, I will be attending the infamous Anthem pool party, although I’m not sure it will be as civilized as above picture. Have a great weekend and I’m sure I’ll be seeing some of your beautiful faces!

Easter Delight

I’m still recovering from my Easter brunch food coma, but I did want to share some photos from my lovely and delicious afternoon with the fam. I think our spring decor turned out really cute and a high five up top to my sis, T, for all the floral arrangements.
