Reunification Palace

Of course, I made the rounds and saw the sites that all tourists should see while in Saigon and my favorite stop was definitely the Reunification Palace. It was an interior designer’s dream! Seriously, every room I walked into went something like this…”oh my god”, “look at that”, “that’s so amazing”, “look!”. Not only was the design and architecture a sight to see, the history of such a significant building really hit home. There’s a famous photo of the North Vietnamese tanks crashing through the front gates which signified the fall of Saigon during the Vietnam War on April 30, 1975, the same day my parents and sister fled the city to come to the United States. I’ll let you take a look for yourselves…
